June 8th - Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay is Disney's private island in the Bahamas.  It was our last stop on the last day before arriving back at port.  It was our least favorite of the islands b/c there was nothing for the girls to do.  They had to be 5 to any of the excursions and the beach was pretty boring.  The seaweed was pretty bad so the girls didn't want to swim in the water.  I didn't blame them.

They were not listening to me when we were waiting at the dock so I made them go back to the room for 30 minutes.  It worked out better b/c we saw donald on the way in - he was one of the characters they had not got an autograph from.

This was the boat at port.  The water was so pretty!

The beach was really crowded.  Mark got a float for the girls to ride on.  You can see Avery riding on it in the middle of the picture...

Neither girl wanted to do the slide b/c Avery swallowed a bunch of sea water last year.  She didn't realize she would go under the water (it was 6 ft deep).

After 30 minutes of not doing much, they wanted to go to the kids club which was on the island.  They had a lot of water activities for the girls to do.

I sat back and read while Mark tried to snorkel. He said he wan't very impressive.

We picked the girls up and went back to the room.  We saw parasailers from our balcony.  It was pretty cool.  The girls want to do it when they get older.  I'd like to too!

This is the island - not very big for so many people!

We took the girls to the pool and it seemed like others had the same idea with their little ones.  But it wasn't too crowded so the girls had fun.
