Oh My Alysse

This little baby just hit a spurt... in EVERYTHING.  This last week has been huge for her.  Totally different baby, who isn't so much of a baby anymore.

She decided that she now wants to walk everywhere.  No more crawling. She is sooooo cute when she walks.  She marches with her knees up really high with her legs out to the side. She has incredible balance and her favorite thing to do is dance while she stands there.

Alysse also decided that she wants to repeat everything we say.  Her vocabulary has now increased so much.  Her favorite word is still "go" but she now loves to say "baby" and "this" ALL the time. She learned "hot" by burning her hand on hot food.  She loves to say that over and over too.  When she wants something to drink she says "juice".

Her words:

Mama
Dada
Addy
Avey
Ees (Alysse)
Please
Thank you
Hot
Go
Whoa
Baby
Bye Bye
This
Bella
Juice
Yum
More
Milk
Uh Oh

The other day Mark was holding her and I went in to give him a hug.  The little stinker pushed me away!!!  She put her hand on my chest and pushed me until I wasn't hugging him anymore.

She loves to push her shopping cart around.  She ran it into the door, and instead of just sitting there waiting for me to move it, she started walking backwards while she held it.  I couldn't believe it.

She loves baby dolls more than anything, but will call stuffed animals or small toys "baby" too.  She likes to play with Addy's Loving Family dollhouse.  She takes the baby and rocks it, then puts it in the bed, then repeats it over and over.  She will hand it to me to rock, then point to the bed for me to put the baby in it.

She points to your nose when you ask where her nose is.  She sticks out her tongue when you say "show me your teeth".  If she wants a bite of something, she licks her lips and flaps her tongue.  If you say "peek a boo" she puts her hands behind her head.  IF you say "bye bye" she blows kisses.

Alysse also loves the remote.  She will pick it up, aim it at the tv and say "this".  She tries to turn it on!  The batteries come out of it all the time so she loves to pull them out and play with them.  If we don't see her in time to take them away from her, she will try to put them back in the remote!  It's kinda freaky how she already tries to put things in their place when it falls out.

She pays attention to everything we do!!  ...and does it too.  We need to be careful around her!!
